News of the death of Mrs. Virginia Asher at West Palm Beach brought sorrow to Bluefield women. She was 67, wife of Rev. William Asher, longtime evangelist, who helped found the Virginia Asher Business Women's council. A Chicago native, she worked with Moody, Talmadge, and Billy Sunday, traveling and directing music before organizing local councils since 1921. Survived by her husband.
