George B Corwin a former University of Rochester YMCA secretary has been appointed National Hi-Y secretary to supervise 5000 Hi-Y clubs in the United States with 200000 boys. He will work with Abel J Gregg on the Boys staff and prepare for the second national Hi-Y congress at Berea Kentucky June 25 to 28.

John Meador an 18 year old Bradshaw youth was arrested at 4 30 yesterday morning by Patrolman Bobby Jones after smashing a window at the C B Lunch room on Bluefield avenue He was found just as he was about to escape with a 6 cent automatic music machine and confessed to the break in Chief of Police C N Wilson said he also admitted breaking and entering the New Deal Lunch room between 5 and 6 am on Wednesday morning stealing about six dollars from an automatic music machine He will be arraigned for preliminary hearing in magistrate court today

Well Known Giles Man Charles Francis Dies at 44
Charles Clinton Francis a 44 year old Giles county merchant and American Legion commander died at his Penvir home after two years of declining health. He served in World War I and fought in the Meuse Argonne and St Mihiel offensives. Survived by wife Katherine Shrader, daughter Geraldine, parents Mr. and Mrs. R. F.
