The unlocked door allowed the animal to enter and it spent about two hours staring at its reflection in a mirror before rodeo staff calmly escorted it back to captivity.

Bluefield officials hailed a plan by Huntington developer Dennis Johnson to convert the East River Mountain Inn on Cumberland Road into a dorm serving as many as 175 Bluefield State College students. Mayor Perkinson called it an exciting opportunity and the Greater Bluefield Chamber of Commerce praised Johnson's work.
Civil lawsuits were filed Thursday Jan 27 against Steve Patton of Princeton and Gertrude Walton of Mount Hope alleging they illegally downloaded and shared thousands of copyrighted songs on peer to peer networks. Patton’s computer allegedly downloaded songs by Alabama, the Dixie Chicks, Paula Abdul and Dr Dre. A Patton family member said they are seeking legal counsel and are not ready to comment.
