Mrs. Sarah Johnson Dies at 76 in Raven Virginia
Mrs. Sarah Johnson, 76, of Raven Virginia, died at home Tuesday after a brief illness. She lived much of her life in Richlands and Raven, was born in Steelsburg, married to John Johnson in 1890, and had thirteen children with seven surviving. Surviving children include George, Wesley, Thomas Johnson of Raven and Robert Johnson of Cedar Bluff, with daughters Mrs John Lawson, Mrs Robert Grimsley, and Mrs Luther Street in Raven, plus a brother George Shelton. Grandchildren number forty eight and great grandchildren twenty eight. She was a Baptist and her husband preceded her.
