A January raid led by C E Dooley D U S deputy Dan Cunningham and Major J H Cummings penetrated moonshine country at Flat Top in blinding snow. They seized a 140 gallon still and a 65 gallon still, destroyed mash and furnace, moved evidence to Hinton, and arrested Joe Meadows who was jailed in Charleston after hearing in Huntington waiting for grand jury action.
