Cunning dies after confessing in Denning murder case
William Albert Cunning, who killed Mrs. Mary Denning in her home and then shot himself, died at Mercy Hospital two hours after declaring in a sworn statement that he committed the shooting. He had lived with Denning for two years and had attempted to kill her two young daughters, who escaped. He formerly lived in Cincinnati.
