Spencer Rice of Glen Lyn was fined 25 dollars plus costs by Magistrate C. C. Elmore after being arrested on Route 219 Saturday night by Constable Co. C. Christian Sergeant W. Een and Trooper C. G. Hamrick. George Franklin Rash of Bluefield was fined 25 dollars plus costs by Magistrate D. T. Carr after state troopers arrested him for a hit and run that damaged a state police car.

Superhuman Williams Sought By Officers

Christian went to Nariva and Mullens late Sunday night looking for Superhuman Williams, colored, wanted for questioning in connection with the hold up of Ernest H. Roberts Jury Discharged After Deadlock in Murder Case
The jury in the murder case against Lee Roberts, a white man, was discharged by Judge F Morton Wagner after a six six deadlock. The trial began last week, deliberations lasted five hours Saturday and nearly three hours Monday, with the case continued to April 10. Roberts remains free on bond.
