Mrs Sarah Eva Gillespie daughter of John Grafton Gillespie of North Tazewell became the bride of James E. Miller of Steubenville Ohio at a ceremony last night in Bluefield Virginia. Rev. James David Kitchen officiated. Only relatives and a few bands attended. The altar was banked with greenery and white mums. Mrs Wailer Kelster played the organ and Miss Sally Litz sang. The bride wore a brown costume with lynx fur and matching accessories. Maid of honor Elizabeth Gillespie wore aquamarine with short mink cape. Best man Robert C. Pierle. ushers Bowen Gillespie and James Gillespie. Miss Gillespie is a Bluefield teacher. Miller attended Pitt and works as an auditor for American Gas and Electric in Steubenville. The couple will reside there after a wedding trip to Chicago and Detroit.

Kentucky man bailed out in cabin slaying
Inez Kentucky Deg 90 John Meadows survived a gun duel in the bedroom of his mountain home and was released on bond today to await grand jury action in the fatal shooting of Coffey 32 a prominent Martin county resident. Coffey entered the cabin at Smokey Hollow across the river from Kermit West Virginia and Meadows, his wife and baby were sleeping in the room.
Local Negro Convicted On Moonshine Charge
A. A. Black, 37, was fined 850 and sentenced to thirty days in county jail for possessing five gallons of moonshine whiskey in Magistrate W. W. McNeal's court. James Finney, another colored man linked to the seizure, was acquitted. Mary Lawson was fined 10 and jailed ten days for contempt of court, with perjury and additional liquor charges continued after her sentence.
