Woman Found Dead From Apparent Self Inflicted Wound in Virginia
A 57 year old Giles County woman Mrs Carl J Arbutus Martin Nelson died at her Narrows home Monday morning from an apparently self inflicted gunshot. She was pronounced dead at the scene by a county medical examiner. Details remain unavailable. Nelson was born in Giles County to Eldridge R Martin and the late Lillian Frazier Martin. She lived most of her life in Giles County and belonged to the First Baptist Church in Narrows. Survivors include her father, a stepmother, a foster son Jimmy R Martin, three sisters and eight brothers. Burial arrangements were handled by Broyles Funeral Home with services at Peterstown and Fairview Cemetery. Government spokesmen said Lech Walesa is in good health and in contact with government, church and family in Warsaw. A senior Solidarity adviser warned a political solution requires authentic Solidarity leaders and government agreement. Martial law is said to have caused eight deaths since December 13. Jerzy Urban confirmed a death of a woman in Gdansk.
