Mary Hicks of Ashland was jailed on a malicious wounding charge with a $10,000 bond after allegedly shooting 21 year old Darlene Moore of Ashland in the back twice. Moore was treated at Welch hospital and later moved to Bluefield Community Hospital in good condition in the ICU. Deputy Sheriff Robert McIntosh arrested Hicks and she appeared before Magistrate Judy Decker.
