Desperadoes Captured After Kidnapping Woman in California

Wounded Attorney in Critical Condition After Office Slaying
In West Palm Beach on Christmas Eve a 55 year old attorney, B.E.M. Baynes, is in critical condition from a slashed throat in his office. A 42 year old man, David Ralph Burnside, slit four throats and died jumping from a sixth floor fire escape. Burnside's wife Bernice also died. Burnside's son James, 15, and another attorney, G. Hamilton, were injured but improving. Police say Burnside acted violently after visiting the Comeau building to prepare a will.
