International lottery fraud targets a resident
A Baptist Valley woman received a London letter claiming she won 3.8 million dollars from the Australian International Lottery. The notice asks for an international call and insurance payments. Detective Captain Kevin Bales of the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Department urges caution and says FBI help will be sought. Residents with similar letters should contact the sheriff’s department.
