Fatal Boiler Explosion Hits Kent Woolen Mills
Four workers were killed and four seriously injured in a broiler explosion at Centreville’s Kent Woolen Company mills in Providence. Fireman Nirvanna Brault and his wife Mrs Brault died alongside Arthur Fisher 16 D L Baker who died after rescue. Injured include Benoni House Arthur Greavis Ellen Lover Annie Monahan. The boiler room detached building, Brault in charge, was wrecked as a boiler burst and collapsed through the weave shed into the mill. Fire crews rescued panicking operatives. the cause remains a mystery though boilers were reported in excellent condition a month earlier.
