Tax Bill Passes House Aimed at Deep Corporate Cuts
The tax package moves to the White House after the House approval, promising steep corporate cuts and modest relief for middle and low income families. Republicans claim growth benefits while Democrats warn of higher debt and benefits skewed to the wealthy. The bill keeps corporate cuts permanent and personal cuts temporary through 2026, with a $2,000 child credit and a $1,400 refund for low tax families, contingent on social security numbers.
