Vietnam Veterans tree sales deemed a success in Mercer County
Princeton Chapter 628 of the Vietnam Veterans of America reports strong demand at its annual Christmas tree sale on Route 20 near Athens Crossroads. Volunteers from nearly 40 members, including Frank Thomas and Ed Simmons, sourced trees from Bill Huffman’s Mercer County farm and from North Carolina, with 150 trees hauled in and 25 to 30 foot tree balls dug up. Proceeds fund the chapter food pantry as volunteers work around the clock to assist local families during the holidays.
