Local Man Holds Hostages Before Taking Own Life
Princeton police report a 32 year old resident Harry Hugh Handy briefly held nine patrons at Old Towne Pub on Thorn Street Monday afternoon then fatally shot himself. He died during surgery at Princeton Community Hospital after the incident at 5:35 p.m. Witnesses say Handy threatened violence and demanded his wife and daughter be brought to the tavern. Investigators continued work late Monday night.
