Rodriguez lands at Michigan raises spread offense shift
West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez agrees to become Michigan's next head coach, leaving a program with six straight bowl bids and a top spread offense. The hire marks a major coaching move, with Rodriguez citing focus on Michigan over WVU and plans to bring his staff, recruits, and a new offensive system to Ann Arbor. He is believed to sign soon as Michigan accelerates contract talks with athletic director Bill Martin and Rodriguez's agent.
