Postal meltdown as rush to Christmas deadline tightens
Akers warns Bluefield postal center will scrap about 160000 pieces with 300000 more expected today as customers race to mail by Christmas. Priority and Express options remain, but regular hours and possible early closures loom. Neat printing aids automatic readers. cursive handwriting slows delivery, causing possible 2 3 day delays.
