Morgantown West Virginia December 17 Two to one against marketing quotas for 1939 were cast by Hurley tobacco growers in a 16 county referendum by the Agricultural Adjustment Administration. Unofficial tallies from 14 counties: 1 993 against quotas 847 for them. In Tazewell County Virginia the poundage control vote for 1939 tobacco showed 13 for 13 against at Tazewell office and 7 for 53 against at Cedar Bluff. About 125000 pounds were produced from roughly 100 acres sold at auctions in Abingdon Johnson City and Greeneville at about 20 cents.
