West Virginia ski resorts open early for season
West Virginia’s five ski areas begin operations this weekend with Canaan Valley Timberline Four Seasons Winterplace Oglebay opening by Saturday and Snowshoe already open for Thanksgiving. Snowshoe the largest resort at 4848 feet expects its most terrain by mid-December in over a decade. The resorts draw 800000 visitors yearly, generating about 250 million in economic impact and 5000 jobs.

Ghost Riders MC Deliver Toys to Bluefield Mission
About a dozen Mercer County Ghost Riders MC members delivered toys to the Bluefield Union Mission on Saturday. The group, active since the mid-1980s, arrived around noon on the third Saturday of December and brought toys for 50 families plus $500 for the mission.
