President McKinley greeted by a cheering crowd at Tuskagee Alabama including hundreds of students from the Tuskagee Normal School. He and Mrs. McKinley with a large cabinet party visited Booker T. Washington's institution where the president spoke to the students. He is due in Montgomery at 2 45 p m and Savannah at 6 a m tomorrow.
Four people were instantly killed and three others mortally hurt at a Pennsylvania railroad grade crossing in Freehold New Jersey on December 16. The incident occurred at dusk as trains traversed the crossing, prompting investigations and emergency response.
A gas explosion in Poughkeepsie New York injures three people. Details on severity and cause were not immediately available. Local authorities responded and began an investigation into the incident.

New York December 16 Moore was convicted this evening of badgering Martin Mahon. The jury returned a verdict of guilty of robbery in the first degree.
