Easley Bridge Opens Southbound traffic in phased plan
Bluefield officials report the Easley Bridge connects U S Route 52 to Bluefield with one northbound lane open as of Wednesday. Southbound traffic uses the old bridge while construction continues on the new span. Full two-lane access is planned by early next week with additional work including a linking road to Bluefield State College and site dress-up. The $8 million project aims for completion in summer 2001.
