Israel's parliament approved legislation extending Israeli jurisdiction over the Golan Heights, a move condemned by Syria and Egypt as a breach of the UN charter and Camp David accord. Mother Dives 36-Foot Well to Save Son in Illinois
In Murphysboro Illinois a mother named Reagan risked her life to rescue her 4 year old son from a rotted 36 foot well. She climbed down a pipe and held the boy above water for 45 minutes while directing her other son TJ to summon help. Deputies pulled both from the well and the family was treated and released from St Joseph Memorial Hospital. The sheriff credited the mother and boy TJ for saving the child though the deputy said they were the heroes.
