Mrs Martha A Campbell, long identified with the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and local church work, was arrested in Sandusky on a secret indictment for incendiarism. Miss Lou Mather is also indicted. The fire targeted Mather's home in October with a scheme to obtain insurance money to settle a mortgage. Both women are out on bond.

Found Dead in Bed in Roanoke Furniture Shop
Roanoke Roanoke Va December 13 Frank Linkenbaker a well known citizen was found dead in bed at his furniture repair shop No 1506 Commonwealth Avenue around 11 this morning. Mrs Henderson alerted police when she found the door to Mr Linkenhoker’s home broken open. Detective Griffly found the 68 year old man dead in bed. He was a native of Botetourt County and survived by his wife and three children.

One Man Cremated in East Ninth Street Fire
Firemen battled a blaze at a stable on East Ninth Street in New York while attempting to rescue nine horses. One man, William Seibel, was found suffocated in a closet where he had taken refuge, and another man and a woman narrowly escaped death from smoke. The stable was practically destroyed.
