Vietnam Veterans Memorial eyed for 1995 completion date
A Vietnam Veterans Memorial planned for the entrance to the West Virginia Tourist Information Center in Princeton aims to be completed by end of 1995. The project, backed by the Parkway Authority, Economic Development and Tourism Authority, and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 628, advances design in 30 to 50 days and bids after final design. The $161,000 allocated by the authority plus $11,000 raised locally will fund the memorial honoring about 400 veterans from Mercer Monroe McDowell and Summers counties.
