In Tazewell Virginia the court faults the jury that acquitted Leedy and says jurors must have courage to convict where law and facts warrant. The Leedy verdict is called the worst miscarriage of justice the judge has seen. The case against Calvin Caudill for Ed Henkle murder is postponed due to illness. Bail for Caudill set at 2000 dollars. Wagner v Pocahontas Coal set aside.
