Regional industrial park study starts between Tazewell and Buchanan
A site study for a planned regional industrial park between Tazewell and Buchanan counties begins today at the old Richlands Airport. The $270,000 study is funded by a $90,000 VCEDA grant plus $150,000 from Tobacco Commission and small local grants. The site features existing infrastructure including a four million gallon daily sewage plant, rail line, natural gas, and broadband.

Treasury auctions show mixed short term rate shifts
The Treasury sold 19 billion in three month bills at 2.210 percent, up from 2.195 last week, and 17 billion in six month bills at 2.380 percent, down from 2.395. The three month rate is the highest since October 1 2001, and the six month rate is the lowest since November 22. The Fed reported one year constant maturity bill yields at 2.62 percent, up from 2.60.
