Buchanan Cable TV Ordinance Alterations Set for Dec 16
Buchanan County Board of Supervisors set December 16 at 7 p.m. for a continued meeting to adopt amendments to the cable television ordinance after a public hearing. The changes include moving the ordinance effective date from July 1, 1982 to March 1, 1983 and clarifying franchise areas defined by Exhibit A. Board members discussed extensions, costs, and adherence to franchise requirements with Commonwealth's Attorney Michael McGlothlin urging passage to enable franchises to be allocated. The meeting also covered other county actions and budget item approvals.
