Woman treated after family fire at Lynn Street home
Donna Thomas entered a smoke filled residence at 126 Lynn St to rescue family dogs and was treated at Bluefield Regional Medical Center for elevated carbon monoxide levels. Firefighters, who arrived at 8:23 a.m., had the fire under control in minutes. The blaze likely started when a space heater was too close to the couch or a comforter. The family will stay in a Bluefield Econo Lodge for two days as costs are covered.
