Princeton Christmas Parade lights up Mercer Street

Parades across Mercer County launch the Christmas season with floats, bands, ATVs and Santa visits. The Princeton event drew hundreds along Mercer Street on Friday evening, as families and students, including Mercer Elementary’s Donna Sizemore and her dog Rocky, enjoyed mild weather and festive sights.

Bluefield Christmas Parade Adopts New Route and Format

Bluefield to stage its annual Christmas Parade on Saturday December 11 with a citywide start at the fire station on Cumberland Road. The all vehicle procession will travel via Cumberland Road Bland Road College Avenue Stadmm Drive Cherry Street to Bluefield Avenue and cross the Martin Luther King Jr Bridge, aligning with the new Hometown Christmas Festival. Marie Blackwell notes the Fire Department leads the event.

Community Christmas Tree nets third anonymous $5,000 donation

The Community Christmas Tree campaign in BLUEFIELD reports a third anonymous $5,000 gift this week, bringing total anonymous donations to $15,000 in seven days for the 2021 drive. Editor Samantha Perry praised the gift, saying it boosts the effort to help area children this Christmas.
