Local man sentenced for sexual abuse in Princeton case
Princeton man Larry Hazelwood 49 of Princeton Manor on Church Lane was sentenced by Mercer County Circuit Court Judge John R. Frazier to two periods of 5 15 years in prison and fined 5000 after pleading guilty to two counts of Sexual Abuse by Custodian on August 28. He faced a 12 count indictment alleging sexual offenses against a minor from 1994 to 1999. The judge denied probation or alternate sentence and the state was represented by William J. Sadler.

Dual Princeton robberies under investigation
Police sought a young white female as the prime suspect in two separate robberies in Princeton on Tuesday evening. The S&S Express on Stafford Drive and the Dollar General on Mercer Street were hit within minutes of each other. The suspect demanded money, indicated a weapon though none was seen, and fled in a white vehicle. no injuries were reported. A possible accomplice was noted but not confirmed.
