Goodykoontz Drug Company of Bluefield advertises Rexall Mucu-Tone as a bloodborne cure for catarrh, claiming internal treatment versus external remedies. The ad promises a money back guarantee if the remedy fails and notes two sizes priced at 50 cents and $1, with chronic cases often needing three one-dollar bottles.
Mrs A Coy Jr of San Antonio testifies that Chamberlains Cough Remedy saved her three year old Andrew from a severe croup attack. The remedy has long been used and widely trusted by mothers with sales at West End Drug Co East End Drug Co and Bluefield Pharmacy.

A. F. Hardy of East Wilton Maine credits Sucklen's Azolea Salve with curing sores boils ulcers and burns for fifteen years and notes it saves doctor bills. the product is sold at all drug stores for 26 cents.
Notice to water takers and patrons of Minefield Water Works and Improvement Company that starting January 1, 1909 all water rents on flat rate will be collected in advance. The order applies to all patrons and emphasizes prepayment.
Notices warn that water rents for metered services must be paid by the first of the month following service. The Bluefield Water Works and Improvement Company of Bluefield West Virginia issues the reminder dated November 2, 1908, with terms 11-5 to 12-31.
