Mercer County Health Department taps new leader as retirements loom
Melody Rickman RN after 24 years as administrator will retire December 31 at the Mercer County Health Department. Susan Kadar, a sanitarian with 30 years in public health, will take over January 1, 2013. Rickman helped push the new building project, plans to volunteer after leaving, and recalls early public health changes including AIDS investigations and vaccination campaigns.
