Bluefield Chamber Pushes Access Road Upgrades for New Hospital
Bluefield area officials and chamber leaders urged the State Highways Department District 10 to speed planned access improvements to the new Bluefield Community Hospital. Proposals include widening Cherry Street for a left turn into the hospital area, Highland Avenue work, lighting at exits, traffic markings, and a possible four lane extension and connector routes. State officials noted potential projects, timing, and criteria, with further discussion to be relayed to the state highway commissioner.
