Pruning Shears Implanted In Eye Socket Shocks Arizona Man
An 86 year old Arizona man, Leroy Luetscher, describes excruciating pain after a pruning shear penetrated his eye socket and neck. Surgeons at University Medical Center in Tucson removed the tool, rebuilt the orbital floor with a titanium plate, and treated him with antibiotics. Luetscher, a Wisconsin native living in Green Valley, is recovering with slight eyelid swelling and minor double vision, grateful to be alive.
