OxyContin maker tests naloxone safeguard reformulation
Purdue Pharma senior official Dr J David Haddox told a Virginia drug abuse task force the company is experimenting with naloxone to reformulate OxyContin. The plan aims to deter abuse by combining the painkiller with a narcotic antagonist similar to Talwin NX.
