Tamarack workers' dispute sent to grievance board
A Kanawha County judge agreed to send the Tamarack workers transfer dispute to the State Employees Grievance Board for a hearing. Circuit Judge Irene Berger had been poised to rule on an injunction bid against the West Virginia Parkways Authority. the move was avoided as the authority will honor a policy barring dismissals without just cause and will let about 100 Tamarack workers join the Public Employees Insurance Agency. Ed Hartman of Council 77 called these the two main items likely to have earned injunctive relief.
