Nuns Killed and Two Injured in Route 460 Collision

Two nuns died and two others were seriously hurt when their station wagon collided with a west bound tractor trailer at the U.S. 460 Ingleside Road intersection near Princeton. The deceased were Sisters Jean Makowski and Mary Forde. The injured were Sisters Colie Stokes and Jenny Vincenza Asarese. Authorities cited rescue delays due to another call and ongoing investigations by Princeton Police Officer Clifford Mitchum and others from state and local agencies.

US sources report one Libyan pilot radioed he would fire on American aircraft before the brief air battle over the Gulf of Sidra. OPEC fails to unify prices as Saudi cuts output

Geneva talks end without a single price as Saudi Arabia keeps its base at 32 dollars and trims production by 1.75 million barrels daily. Analysts say the move leaves the two tier pricing intact and U.S. gasoline prices poised to drift. OPEC members balked at dropping below 36 dollars, prolonging the split until a December meeting in Abu Dhabi.

Lower Gasoline Prices Possible

New York AP reports that U S motorists may see lower gasoline prices as OPEC failed to agree on a base price for crude oil. Analysts say the downtrend could continue due to a global oversupply and slack demand. Saudi Arabia plans a production cut starting in September, but analysts call it a token gesture unlikely to halt price declines.
