A stream of visitors and residents travel in and out of Bluefield yesterday. J Kr of Tazewell and Bill Maynard of Honaker are in the city with others from Narrows Pocahontas Welch and many more. Sam Matz heads to Pocahontas for several days as Dr C W St Clair visits in Tazewell.
Messrs Wingate Boxley & Co of Roanoke completed an $18,000 street paving sidewalk and sewerage contract for Pocahontas Center street from the passenger station to Church street and parts of St Clair Water and Twin. The work, under J C Freeman and city engineer Geo L Byron, reflects creditable municipal effort. The Pocahontas council will ask Norfolk and Western Railway to pave around the passenger station.

Mercer county West Virginia Rock district board of education estimates current year tax levies for building and teachers funds.
