Tragic Jump From Home For Fallen Women
Annie Jaffe a 20 year old Russian Hebrew woman leapt from a third story window at the Home for Fallen Women in Baltimore, died on impact. Maurice Silver, a 19 year old tailor, said they planned marriage but could not support two. Two Hebrew women had urged him to end the relationship, and Jaffe reportedly jumped after leaving his house. The sister survives in Hezleton, Pa.
