Catholic Boy Asked To Leave Protestant School
In Lexington North Carolina a Roman Catholic student was expelled from Sheets Memorial Christian School affiliated with a Baptist church for his faith. Administrator Dan Hightower says Baptist doctrine does not complement Catholic teaching. The 15 year old Ben Holmes enrolled last fall after a Catholic high school was too far away. His mother Cynthia Holmes says she had no objection to faith education. The school policy states it admits students of any race or ethnicity whose parents agree with the school Christian philosophy. Holmes says Christians should feel Christ's love, not the opposite taught at the school.
