Snead lends name to plan for Braxton County course

Braxton County developer John Skidmore teams with golf legend Sam Snead to build an 18 hole Sam Snead signature golf course near Flatwoods. The project on 180 to 185 acres aims to lure upscale visitors and include a residential community with construction possibly starting in late fall or spring and a hoped opening before 2002. Snead, pro emeritus at The Greenbrier, could boost a proposed West Virginia golf trail similar to Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Trail.
