The newly organized Junior Woman's club hosted a reception at Mrs. K F Stewart's College avenue residence to honor prospective new members. Miss Evelyn West married Bin Johnston in a simple June 24 1939 ceremony at Pearisburg Virginia. The bride wore a white sharkskin suit with white accessories and gladiol and sweet pea corsage. Baby violin prodigy to appear at Greenbrier festival
Six year old Diana Steiner, a Curtis Institute scholarship student and pupil of Efrem Zimbalist, will perform violin at the White Sulphur Springs festival. She will play Vivaldi concerto in A minor with a forty five piece orchestra, using a Stradivarius loaned by the Curtis Institute. Her West Virginia appearance marks a historic first for the state.

In compliment to Miss Ethel Bowen soon to wed Mr Bernard McClaugherty Jr Miss Mary Crockett Evans hosted a bridge party at her Parkway home Friday afternoon with seven tables. Hostess assistants included Mrs Ray Evans Miss Sally Anna Evans and Miss Pat Barrow. Beth Thomas won the high prize and Mrs Jack McClaugherty took second while slam prizes went to Beth Thomas and Florence Hall. Refreshments were served at 430 pm. Evans presented a gift to the honoree. Earlier, Misses Sarah Frances and Margaret Perdue hosted a Thursday breakfast at their Bramwell home for Bowen, the weekend wedding anticipated. Inclement weather canceled tennis after breakfast, guests played bridge instead.
