City awards contracts for security and concessions
BLUEFIELD The city board approved contracts with Neal & Associates for security at Lotto Park, East River Mountain Overlook, and other Recreation Department sites, and with David's Restaurant for concessions at Mitchell Stadium. Neal & Associates bid $7.50 per hour for armed security. The board also leased the old Norfolk Southern Freight Station auditorium to the Bluefield Shrine Patrol for five years with a $40,000 investment to restore it. The lease allows city flexibility if a buyer appears.
