A Mercer County Circuit Court jury of three men and three women returned a verdict for Dr. M.S. Hajjar in the medical malpractice case brought by David and Rhonda Havens of Montcalm. The Havens sought 275000 for the death of their son one day after birth at a Bluefield hospital.

John D. Edwards Jr., 45, of Nanty Glo Pennsylvania, was convicted by a McDowell County Circuit Court jury of armed robbery at the State ABC store in Gary in January.
