Priest Forced to Resign Over Abuse Allegations in Richmond
In Richmond diocese, Rev. Julian Goodman, longtime pastor at Holy Comforter Parish, resigns after a 1976 78 abuse of James Kronzer at St. John Vianney Seminary and St. Anne Parish. Kronzer, now 40, says the molestation began during his freshman year and continued, prompting therapy and a 1994 church action. New church norms adopted in Dallas require barring priests who molest from public ministry. Goodman, 36 years a priest, was retired immediately. Kronzer sought public disclosure of the case.
