Faber remands asbestos cases to Charleston state court
U.S. District Judge David A. Faber remands about 305 asbestos related cases from federal court to state court in Charleston. The combined matter, Mounts v. A&I Co. et al, involves Plibrico and Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co. 3M, which argues its products contained no asbestos but is tied to dust masks. The ruling cites a 2001 Haden decision and notes 3M’s non asbestos products do not distinguish the remand.
