Manhunt Ends as Manuel Arrested in Michigan Slayings Case

Andrew Julian Manuel Jr. was arrested in Phoenix on interstate flight charges tied to the Michigan coed killings. Rich Valley Fair Slated at Saltville VA Grounds

Services Set For War Girl

Funeral services are planned for Karen Ann Haynes 17 of War who died after apparent poisoning. The 1:30 p.m. service will be at Calvary Baptist Church in War with Rev. W H Johnson. Burial follows at Saeger Memorial Cemetery in Roderfield. She was upset about returning to Mountain Mission School Grundy Va and had been with sister Mrs Ronald Moore of War. She died after being hospitalized in Welch. The death is under investigation by McDowell County District Attorney’s Office and the Welch State Police Detachment. She was born in Welch to Luther and Ethel Castle Haynes. Survivors include sister Brenda Kay Haynes and brother Donald Haynes both of War.
