Max Chester a convicted labor racketeer refused fifty times to answer questions from Senate rackets probers after charges He used terror tactics to shake down a licensee during the inquiry in Washington on August 6.

Jobe Radwan a 66 year old Mullens businessman was killed and his wife Edna 49 was critically injured in a single vehicle crash on West Virginia 10 near the Logan Lincoln county line. The car ran off the road struck a tree after the driver was reportedly blinded by bright sun. Both occupants were trapped inside with no other passengers.
