Air Controllers and Government At Odds In Talks

Washington AP reports air traffic controllers and the government remain far apart in contract talks. Transportation Secretary Drew Lewis warned of an almost certain Monday strike unless an extension is granted. Union president Robert E Poli said no progress was made and pressed for a new offer. President Reagan was told to take strong legal action against strikers if needed.
